YACINE NDIAYE
Europe
My name is Yacine Ndiaye. I’m from Dakar, Senegal. I speak English, French and Wolof, my mother tongue. Talk to me about digital technologies, immunization and sexual and reproductive health. In addition, I am very interested in talking about Gender and how it links to all these topics.
I work as a consultant for a few international organizations on immunization.
As many of my generation, I have used digital technologies to be more aware of my health statistics, especially when I am working out. I have been using a health tracker (a Fitbit and lately an apple watch) for over 2 years now, almost daily, during my workouts to keep track of my heart rate and my physical efforts including duration and fitness level. I have even used these digital technologies to track my sleeping habits and to meditate. Further as a woman, these technologies have served me quite well in monitoring my reproductive health, by helping me track my periods and related symptoms.
I love to travel and to explore new places through their food (a proud food lover). To offset all those excess calories, I turn to CrossFit, which I find myself loving more and more every day.
